CURRENT LEGISLATION: Last year there was conversation in legislation that would no longer provide funding for dual enrollment for 9 th and 10 th graders. There is still possibility that will show back up in legislative discussion. We are proceeding with caution and knowledge that the reality may be that our students cannot participate in dual enrollment potentially until their 11 th grade year. Another piece of that conversation is to cap the number of credit hours allowed.

CLOSING Dual Enrollment is an awesome opportunity for a lot of students. However, it is not for everyone. When you decide you want to do DE, you are making a big commitment. It is not to be taken lightly or just to try. The grades you receive from DE will go on your high school transcript as well as your college transcript. When you ultimately go off to college after high school graduation, those grades on your college transcript will be there waiting for you.
