D-MS program combines a professional and graduate degree program to allow students to obtain both their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D. ) and Master of Science (M. S. ) degrees. This program is designed to prepare pharmacists for careers in pharmaceutical education, research, industry, and related areas of specialized practice.

But of course that all depends on your choice of pharmacy schools.

Pharm. D/MS n Careers n Clinical Research n n The Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of Science in Clinical Research (Pharm. D/MSCR) joint degree program allows students to apply certain credits from the Pharm. D curriculum towards the requirements of the MSCR degree, and to apply MSCR courses to Pharm. D elective requirements. Students in this program can earn a professional pharmacy degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Research degree concurrently. These students may elect to design their research project in collaboration with their Clinical Preceptor during an appropriate fourth year clerkship, an option that is not available to students pursuing separate Pharm. D and MSCR degrees.

D/MS n Careers Continued n Pharmaceutical Sciences ( 4 main branches: pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, and pharmacognosy) n The Doctor of Pharmacy/Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharm. D/MSPS) joint degree program is especially suited to to individuals who hold a Bachelor of Science in either pharmaceutical sciences or natural sciences such as chemistry, biology or physics. Acceptance into the MSPS program a year prior or at the same time of entry into the Pharm. D program is allowed. Completion of both degrees is possible in a total of four years, but some students may take five years.

With legal background AND medical background, you can help many people or companies in lawsuits. FDA – You will be knowledgeable about the drug approval process (in addition to the drug itself) and can potentially help develop new incentives to speed up the approval of new drugs and policies.
