Du`á Ahád (reciting) the du`á of `Ahád (promise): Imám Sádiq (`á) was quoted as saying, "He who recites the (du`á of)`Ahád forty mornings, he will be one of the companions of our Imam Máhdi (`a). If he dies before his advent, Alláh will bring him out of his grave to be in company with him; Almighty Alláh will also grant him one thousand good deeds in return for each word he says, and He will remove one thousand sins from his book of deeds.

Du`á Ahád In the name of Alláh the Beneficent, the Merciful. ﺍﻟﻠ ﺍﻟ ﻣ ﺍﻟ ﻳ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Lord of the ever-persevering light, Lord of the highest heaven ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻳ ﺍﻟ ﻭ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻟ

Du`á Ahád Lord of the seas, moving up and down, back and forth, in unbroken line ﺍ ﺍﻭ

Du`á Ahád Who sent down Tawrat Injil and Zabur, ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻟ ﻭ

Du`á Ahád Lord of restful nights and warm busy days, Who sent down the meaningful Quran, ﺍﻟ ﺍﻭ ﺍآ )ﺍﺍ( ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád Lord of the favourite angels, prophets and messengers. ﺍﻻ ﺍ ﻳ ﺍﺍ )( ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! I beseech Thee, in the name of Thy kind "ways and means", ﺍﻟ ﻱ )ﺍ( ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád in the name of the light of Thy brilliant superior-most being, and Thy ever-existing kingdom. O Ever-living! O Self-subsisting! ﻭ ﺍﻳ ﺍﻳ ﺍ ﺍ ﻭ

Du`á Ahád I beseech Thee in the name of Thy name, which gives light to the heavens and the earths; ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﺍﻟ ﺍﺍ ﺍﻭ

Du`á Ahád and in the name of Thy name, which sets the people (of all times) on the right path, from the beginning to the end. ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﺍ ﻭ ﺍآﻭ

Du`á Ahád O Ever-living who was (ever) there before life was created (by Him). O Ever-living who shall be (for ever) there when life (of all kinds) shall die. O Ever-living who is ever existing even when no life shall exist; ﺍ ﻳﻻ ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád O He who brings the dead to life, and puts the living to death. O Ever-living! There is no god save Thou. ﺍ ﺍﻯ ﻳ ﺍﺍ ﺍ ﻻ ﻻ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh convey to our Mawla, the rightly guided Imam, blessings of Alláh be on him, and on his pure forefathers, ﺍﻟ ﻻﺍ ﺍﺍ ﺍﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻯ آﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád from all the believing men and believing women, living in the easts and the wests, ﻳ ﺍﻳ ﺍﺍ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﺍ

Du`á Ahád in the valleys, over the mountains, on the land, over the seas, ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád and as well as from me and my parents, blessings as sublime as the throne of Alláh, and as comprehensive as the words of Alláh ﻱ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád which His-book contains. ﺍﺍ ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! I turn to him again, on the morning of this day, ﻱﻳﻱﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻱ

Du`á Ahád I always cling to the pledge, the promise and the bargain, I made with him, inclined towards him, solicitous for his help; ﻱﻳ ﺍﻱ ﺩ ﺩ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád neither turning my eyes, nor ever letting it go waste. ﻻﻭﺍ ﻻﻭﺩ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh include me among those who will help him, assist him, rally round him, ﺍﻟ ﺍﻱ ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻳ

Du`á Ahád and will, in no time, carry out his commands; ﺍﺍﻳ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád and strictly follow his directions, out of love and reverence for him, and will try to overtake one another to serve his purpose and will pronounce the profession of faith in his presence. ﺍﺍﻳ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻳ ﻯ ﺍ ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! If death comes first in between me and him, because death is an inevitable certainty for Thy servants, ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﻯ ﺍ ﻣ

Du`á Ahád raise me from my grave, wearing the shroud, my sword in my hand, fully protected by reason of my obedience to Alláh, answering to the call of the summoning authority, inviting all people living near and far. ﻱ ﻱ ﺭ ﻱ ﺍﺭ ﻱ ﺩ ﺍﻱ ﻳ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻱ ﻱ ﺍﺍ ﺍﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Give me the opportunity to look at the face of the rightly guided guide, the dawn of a new awaited era; and make me see clearly the face of the kind and loving divine administrator. ﺍﻟ ﻱ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻟ ﻳ ﺍ ﺍﻱ ﻱ

Du`á Ahád (Please) send him just now, make easy his arrival, give him full powers to carry out

Du`á Ahád Thy purpose, put into circulation his thesis and assertion, establish his authority, stand up for his motive and creed. ﺍ ﺍﻱ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Fill Thy land with him, bring to life again Thy servants. Verily Thou said, and Thy words are true and certain: ﺍ ﺍ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻻ

Du`á Ahád "Corruption and mischief appear on land sea because) of the evil( which men's hands have done. " ﺍﺍ ﻱ ﺍ ﺍ ﺍ ﻱ ﺍﻟ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh, make distinctly visible, for us, Thy appointed authority, the son of the daughter of Thy prophet, named Muhammad, after the name of Thy messenger, ﺍﻯﺍﻭ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád so that he rests not after getting the better of the forces of evil, until he tears them to pieces, makes clear the truth, and fulfils his duty in letter and spirit. ﺍ ﺍﺍ ﻻ ﻯﻻ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Make him the ultimate refuge of the oppressed mankind; the helper of those who dispute not in the truth that there is no helper save Thou; ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﻋ ﻭ ﺍ ﺍﺭ ﻻ ﺍﺭ

Du`á Ahád who deals with everything according to the prescribed laws, never putting aside the commandments of Thy 'BOOK' ﺍﺍ ﺩﺍ

Du`á Ahád and gives convincing facts and grounds, always relying upon the knowledge of Thy religion, ﺩﺍ ﻻﻳ

Du`á Ahád following the way of life of Thy prophet, blessings of Alláh be on him and his children, ﻯ ﺍﻟ آ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Keep him safe from hostility of adversaries. ﺍﻳ ﺍ ﺍﻟ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh! Make happy Thy prophet, Muhammad; blessings of Alláh be on him and on his children, ﺩ ﻯ ﺍﻟ آ ﺍﻟ

Du`á Ahád by making known his beautiful aspect and vision, and let those, who obey his call, also rejoice in him, and bind us to his loyalty as soon as he comes in this world, ﻯ ﺍ ﺍﺍﺍ

Du`á Ahád O Alláh put an end to the sufferings of people by his physical presence, and take us quickly to his promised kingdom (Zuhoor). ﺍﻭ ﺍﻟ ﺍ ﺍ

Du`á Ahád "Verily they behold it afar off, while I behold it nigh", through Thy mercy, O the most merciful. ﻳﺪ ﺍ ﻳﺒ ﺍ ﺍﻟ ﺍﻳ

Du`á Ahád three times hit your right hand on the lap and recite (following) each time:
