Different Looks For the Same Content
Different Looks For the Same Content
Static and Liquid Layouts • We can also have different ways of viewing our layout – static and liquid • A static layout looks exactly the same on any browser, it is always the same width and size of content • A liquid layout sizes depending on the browser and the window being used
Static Layout Advantages • Just as you designed it • Consistent look across all platforms
Static Layout Disadvantages • Can look too small on people with high res monitors or PS 3’s • Can leave blank spaces • Could require scrolling on smaller monitors • Can be really bad on mobile devices
