Wilson was born on 28 December 1856 His Dad was a Presbyterian reverend
Wilson grew up in a strongly religious family. Also, Wilson’s family lived in the South. As a boy Wilson witnessed the Civil War. Wilson was convinced that war was absolutely wrong.
Wilson entered Princeton University to become an attorney.
Wilson disliked law and became a teacher. In 1885, he married Ellen Axson and has three daughters.
In 1890, Wilson became a professor at Princeton University. In 1902, he became the President of Princeton.
“ ” As Princeton’s President, Wilson gave many speeches and worked with the New Jersey state legislature to receive tax money for the school. This led him to run for New Jersey governor in 1910.
