Dr. Stamen Grigorov 1878 – 1945 invented the Bacterium bulgaricum Grigoroff He used this bacteria to develop The Bulgarian yoghurt. He is the first Bulgarian scientist in the world who made use of different penicillin funguses to cure the illnesses of tuberculosis and cholera during the World War I

Dimitar Paskov 1914 - 1986 created the medicine Nivaline The chemist who extracted Nivaline for first time from the bulbs of the plant snowdrop somewhere in 1959. An ill girl drank water from a vase with snowdrops. Not after long she was cured. She in fact helped Mr Paskov to extract the medicine.
