What is SAGE? • Redrock’s Early Warning Alert System • Can be used by instructors, advisors, or tutors. • Can create referrals, progress reports, or evaluations for students who are struggling with grades or attendance. • Can be sent manually (via snail mail) or automatically (via email) to the appropriate parties.

A way to be made aware of problems, deadlines, and services provided to assist in school success Dual Enrollment Students: -benefit by 1. Being monitored through SAGE for tutorial assistance 2. Stakeholders are informed of their progress. 3. Learning accountability/college skills with little reminders. Online & Nontraditional Students: -receive 1. Extra attention in a venue where many are/feel anonymous 2. Extra guidance when working full-time and taking night and/or weekend classes.

Creating a SAGE Referral

Steps for New Report: 1. Click on the Tracman 2. Click on “Utilities and Prefs…”

Under the “Advanced Prefs” tab: 3. Use the search bar to find “SCRIPT: SAGE-Export. Options” 4. Click on “SCRIPT: SAGEExport. Options”

Editing email addresses • Email will be sent to listed email addresses to notify report is complete. • Does not have to be updated every reporting period.

Editing Reporting Period Dates: *To be done before period begins 5. Under “Auto Events” click on “SAGEExtract” 6. Input the desired date for the report to run.

Under the “Auto Events” tab: 4. Click on “Custom Utility” and choose a utility by dropping down the menu.

Retrieving Report: • Choose “Sys Admins” as the category. • Select “View SAGE Referral Export Status” as the process. • After clicking “Execute”, the report will be available in an Excel spreadsheet (ready to mail merge) in your assigned network.
