Downtown Brampton Interim Phase 1 Works Community Update February 11 – March 4, 2021
What are we doing and why? § Region of Peel and City of Brampton are coordinating interim water and wastewater infrastructure and road repairs in Downtown Brampton § Originally planned to be replaced as part of Downtown Reimagined, which was placed on hold in December, 2018 pending an implementation plan for the various projects in the downtown including consideration of options for the future Main Street LRT alignment § Aging Water and wastewater infrastructure is at high risk of failure § Design for interim replacement underway to provide a temporary solution until decision on LRT route is finalized

What might construction look like? Typical work occupies 2 lanes • one for trenching • one for equipment One lane of traffic is maintained in BOTH directions
What might traffic look like? Businesses open and accessible during construction One lane of traffic in each direction is maintained. Bus routes are maintained
