She is on both sides of the page but because of the clever positioning she is not lost in the fold of it. All the lighting on the page is bright and there is no shadows will make the reader feel enthusiastic about the article. The title of the magazine goes against what you would normally find in an R&B magazine. You would normally expect there to being lots of slang used whereas here they say ‘gospel’ and talk about the ten commandment. This is different to the norm and will attract some people into reading it as it is something different. It also reflects on Nicki Minaj’s character as she is something different to the normal chart singer. NME have stuck to the three colour rule on this article. They only use pink, black and white. This doesn’t make the article look too busy and messy. It also gives it a sophisticated look which may appeal to the audience of the magazines. The pull quote will draw reader in as they will want to find out more about Nicki and her personal life and so this is a very effective thing NME have done.
The names of Harry and Zayn have been put largely and so it can be easily seen, this will attract in their fans. The quote from the interview gives the reader a sneak peak of what is in the article. They are both quite dramatic quotes and so people will want to find out more about what they’re talking about. The main colours used in the article are blue, green, white and grey. This doesn’t fit with the pop genre as pop is normally represented with bright colours however as in the article they are addressing a more serious subject about their struggles with school the monotone colours fit in well. The pull quotes used are there to attract the younger audience. The quotes used in them give a clear view on what the article is about. The page numbers make it easy to navigate for the readers. They can quickly find an article by flicking to the page number. In this article the numbers are quite big and as the article is directed at a younger audience it makes it a lot easier for them to navigate their way around.
