Rules of Procedure for Anti-Doping Control and Results Management Ø A doping control consists in the collection of biological samples for analysis or in conducting an investigation in order to verify whether an anti-doping rule violation has been committed. Ø Doping controls are conducted in-competition and out-of-competition, including, in particular, during sport trainings, training camps, consultations and other activities. Ø The doping control date is notified to the person to be subjected to such control. Ø If an athlete who has set a Polish, European or World record in a competition has not undergone doping control in that competition, he/she should contact POLADA in order to arrange for doping control. Ø Doping controls shall be carried out taking into account national and international guidelines, in particular those issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Ø POLADA’s Doping Control and Results Management Department as well as doping control teams shall be engaged in doping control planning and conduct, and result analysis and management.

Doping control and immediate follow-up activities Doping controls shall be conducted in accordance with the International Standard for Testing and Investigations issued by the World Anti-Doping Agency, and in particular with Articles 6 to 9 thereof. The doping control process may include modifications applicable to athletes with impairments and minor athletes. If the "A” sample" test result is positive, the Head of the Doping Control and Results Management Department draws up a notification of suspected anti-doping rule violation and forwards it to the relevant Polish sports association, the athlete or person suspected of the violation, the relevant international federation and the World Anti-Doping Agency. The athlete has the right to request an analysis of the "B” sample within 7 days of receiving the notification of the suspected anti-doping rule violation. If the athlete does not exercise his/her right to request an analysis of the "B” sample or if the time limit for such a request has expired, a final notification of the anti-doping rule violation shall be drawn up according to the procedure set out in points 1 and 2. The documents shall be forwarded by POLADA to the Disciplinary Panel or other authority competent to examine the disciplinary case regarding doping as soon as possible, in accordance with Article 8. 1 of the World Anti-Doping Code.
