Grammar Points • As a little reminder: Present perfect is used to talk about actions or events which started in the past and is somewhat connected to the present. • EXAMPLE: I have had a music box. • The time is not important. That’s why we do not mention it.
But… • We may use FOR or SINCE to talk about periods of time. This means, to mention the time over which an action took place. • EXAMPLE: I have had a music box for two years. I have had a music box since 2015.
