About The Painting • Van Gogh painted Starry Night while in an Asylum at Saint-Remy in 1889. • He had to paint the picture from memory as he was locked up. • Starry Night is one of the most well known images in modern culture • It is one of the most replicated and sought after prints.
About The Song • Don Mc. Lean Wrote the song in Autum 1970. • He was living in a beautiful house. • He was looking at a book about Vincent Van Gogh whilst sitting outside. • He wanted to write a song about the Van Gogh realized that the essence of the artist’s life is his art. • So he wrote a song about the Stary Night picture and his other paintings.
