Legacy Database Registration and Rationalization – – A datacall initiative similar to the FAM applications registration accomplished using DADMS Major steps • • • – Current status • • – DONCIO will be initiating this registration process on 1 Dec 2005 Database registration -- Steps 1 -4 of the process (Fully supported by DADMS); Scope includes databases associated with FAM Approved and AWR applications only Database rationalization – Steps 5 -7 of the process (not fully implemented in DADMS); Products include Authoritative Data Sources, and Functional Area Data Architectures FDM Council has refined registration steps DADMS has fully implemented Steps 1 -4 of the FDM process Issues/Concerns/Risks • • • DART (GOTS tool) used during Steps 5 -7 needs updating (requires work by DADMS staff) Prospect of “yet another datacall” has some Functional Area communities concerned Marine Corp participation in FDM process development has been nominal
