Kuru Means “shaking death” Body trembles Unable to control limbs Unable to control bodily functions Begins to turn into a “vegetable” Can take minimum of 9 months before death There are cases that it can take years to develop and cycle through
Kuru prions usually are in the brain but there is a chance that the proteins are able to spread through the rest of the body. Here a few pictures as to what “Kuru” look like.
Eating the dead Dead died for a reason Most of the dead effected with Kuru Not healthy How it spreads Seen as a good food source Some say for love, keep the person alive in living Most say for good food Convenient food supply Those eating the dead are the ones dying
Eating the dead Dying Kuru Infected Immune Prions Brain Mutated Genes Ancestors ate human flesh and people today are immune to prions Mutation
Love and good food? Unhealthy Spread of diseases Not everyone is immune Against the law and looked down upon Very few are, out of thousands tested only half had mutation Jail and fines Complex Chemicals go in and out Not safe Wrong You are human. Morals. Ethics. How is eating someone more respectful then keeping them in tact?
Lifestyle Live like that, is it wrong? Eating out of love Eating out of respect Not healthy Disease Bacteria Rituals usually make human bodies sit out for days before eating Living conditions Not good
Not for love but for fear? American southwest Smashed bones found No love in these markings Animalistic Dehumanize and spread fear Message Power No shortage in food ( livestock and crops ) found Savage
What does this say? NOT a necessity Fear Power Warning Message Ritual burial Chop up dead Bury them all together Eat flesh before hand

Cannibalism: Views Surviving Eating the fallen Survival of the fittest Love Respect Caring Good food Power Fear Warning and message Belief
Continuation of cases today China Eat dead babies “ High class” food One child policy Treatment of babies Treat them as food Dehumanize Luxury Illegal MORALLY Murder WRONG
In America? Insanity? Killing Evil Is that ever okay? Satanism All equal Illegal Eating = “ No respect. ” and “ Better than you “
Is it ever okay? Circumstances Surviving: Last resort Arguable, seen as okay given circumstances Love Disease Rituals Makes meat go bad Power Inhumane Terror
Conclusion? Love Die Best you can manage Pray Terror Not insane EVIL Murder Nice funeral Illegal Belief Not going to work Real medicine
