doc. : IEEE 802. 11 -11/0051 r 0 January 2011 • Balloting Each WG letter ballot sequence (i. e. , task group) has its own voting pool set to the voting members of 802. 11 at the time the ballot first reaches 75% approval. – I get asked all the time “should I vote on this ballot” – The answer is “go check the voters list published with each and every ballot”. There’s a link on the 802. 11 home page during the ballot. – Every ballot, a number of people who are not eligible to vote try to do so. We weed these votes during an audit of the results. • Use only the template spreadsheet upload to submit comments – The voting tool supports other options – don’t use them – We need this to collect additional data, e. g. “must be satisfied” per comment – Each ballot, several people don’t follow these instructions, and the WG officers have to determine how to treat the comments. • Use your 802. 11 Secret Member ID – – Submission Ask Adrian for your number if you’ve lost it Using the wrong voters ID can overwrite the votes of other members. Every ballot a few people vote using their SA-Pin, or some other inexplicable number. At worst they vote using the wrong ID, a different email address, and a new variant of their name.
