RA DMAC Reviews 2017 What we did? ● Individual DMAC conversations held with each RA in 2017 (& 2018) ● Reviewed each RA’s approach to implementing the IOOS ‘Data Contributor’ guidelines on ioos. noaa. gov ● Discussed what was working, and what needs improvement (from both the perspective of the PO and each RA) ● Got to know each other better and cultivated an understanding by PO staff of each RAs unique challenges and approaches What are we going to do? ● Continue individual RA DMAC discussions going forward ● Eliminate scripted discussions, and follow up on last year’s conversations, notes, and actions on a one on one basis When are we going to do it? ● Starting in Summer/early Fall 2018 2

Challenges: ● ● 3 Improving presentation and consistency of attribution Improving integration of national products Resource limitations (time and money) to meet requirements Improve and better integrate DMAC documentation and requirements

DMAC Tech Webinar Series We propose to continue a monthly DMAC tech webinar series, with some changes: ● Rotating hosting responsibility between PO and an RA each month ● Any topic is allowed that is related to DMAC implementation, including open discussion ● We will create a Google Doc to maintain the schedule and allow RAs to sign up for their month to host ● Rotate through each RA before starting the sequence over 4

DMAC Code Sprint A new DMAC activity for FY 18/FY 19: ● In person

DMAC Code Sprint A new DMAC activity for FY 18/FY 19: ● In person gathering to focus on implementing solutions (rather than just talking about them)! ● Current plan is for GLOS to host a two or three day meeting in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area this fall (October) ● DMAC code sprint will be modeled after the Bio Data Training with exact plans and spending TBD 5
