DLP Basic Training LEARNING SPACES
Background DLP stands for Distance Learning Platform Synchronous audio/video experience Zoom Other Room software – connects standard Zoom Meeting trainings available for use of Zoom from ITAC & on Zoom website
Scheduling & Starting a Meeting Admin (who ever is tech) will schedule each course into the Outlook calendar. Instructor is part of recurring meeting invite Includes Zoom connection links Students can connect with Zoom Meeting ID IDs remain the same for each course (if recurring) Must have necessary camera, microphone, & speakers/headset to participate
System Controls 1. Turn on room displays using the Projector On button 2. Option: Zoom Room can auto-start at scheduled time & both DLP rooms will connect. 3. Click on Start button if you want to start your class early Remote DLP room will not connect automatically if local class has started early. DLP has - Ceiling microphones & 1 rear camera - You can adjust the direction of camera using controls on i. Pad - Adjust volume level & mute/unmute mics on i. Pad
Sharing Content & Connecting Devices Log into Zoom session from personal device or PC (separate from touch panel/displays) Select Claim Host at the bottom of participants window Host can: See participants pane Record Zoom session Share content from that device (Be sure to check “Share Computer Sound” when sharing video or music)
Sharing Content & Connecting Devices Cont. Connect from a laptop, i. OS, or Android to share wirelessly Share desktop, whiteboard, video, etc. the document camera from the Zoom Room touch panel.
Shut Down Select “End Meeting” in Zoom Select “Leave & End Meeting for All” – all participants will be kicked out Turn off displays – “Projector Off” button on the wall controller
Support Let’s say… Zoom Room doesn’t auto-join the scheduled meeting Go to the Meeting List and press Start for your meeting. If Start is not available, go to Join a Meeting and enter the unique Meeting ID from the Outlook calendar invite
