BOARD’S GOAL ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION HIRING PRACTICES § EEO Plan Updated Regularly: › Employee demographic is slightly more diverse than the community served by the college and also reflects the student body § EEO Data Shows: › Rather than eliminating diversity through the screening and interviewing process, the college is now enriching for diversity through the hiring process. The result? Increased diversity in those hired! • Of the 32 faculty hired in the last two years, 47% are ethnically diverse § Fall 2016, the district engaged faculty, in partnership with human resources and administrators, in making improvements to the recruitment and selection process with a strong, equity-minded focus. › Changes were made to: • recruitment materials • application materials related to diversity • the selection process › Proposed changes to the travel reimbursement procedures for applicants
