DSG Presentation • How do you apply for a grant? – Attend the Grant Management Seminar Training – Identify and address a community need – Conduct a realistic assessment of available resources – Target a specific goal(s) and measurable results – Build effective networks that strengthen communities – Empower project recipients to be part of the solution – Recognize all contributions as important and necessary
DSG Presentation • Completion of DSG Application – Find application on www. rotary 7120. org – Review Checklist as you complete the application – Have a co-Rotarian proofread your application – Email a copy to Chairperson – Mail a copy to the Chairperson – Complete application by April 1 st allowing for time for any needed feedback on your application – Applications due by April 15 th.
DSG Presentation • Time Frame for Awarding of Grants – All applications are due by April 15 th – no later. – DSG Committee will meet between April 16 th and April 30 th to review the applications. – All participating Rotary Clubs will be notified if they are receiving a grant(s) at the annual conference on May 3 -5 th. Also, check website for listing of awarded grants for the year. – All participating Rotary Clubs not receiving grant(s) will be notified by mail.
