ITA Classes ITA has categorized all forklifts into classes based on the way they are powered, the way they are operated and the role they perform. There are general classifications of I through VII. Standard Industrial Classification Codes

Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Codes The Standard Industrial Classification (abbreviated SIC) is a system for classifying industries with a four-digit code. Established in the United States in 1937, it is used by government agencies to classify industry areas. The SIC system is also used by agencies in other countries, e. g. by the United Kingdom's Companies House. The SIC codes can be grouped into progressively broader industry classifications: industry group, major group and division. 11

Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) The first digit of the SIC code indicates the Division, and the first 2 digits Codes indicate the Major Group. Each division encompasses a range of SIC codes: for instance, the Division of manufacturing holds all SIC codes with the first two digits between 20 and 39.
