This term we are going to look at recycling and why it is important. What do you think recycling is? Why is it important to recycle? Think about these questions and write an answer in your book. Remember to use full sentences. What is recycling? I don’t know, let’s find out together!

Today we are going to be starting a new area of learning in maths. We will be focusing on Weight and Mass Now some of you may understand what this means without even realising. You are going to be holding objects and then use the vocabulary to describe them. See if you can find lots of objects, some big some small, hold them and then use the sentence stems below… The _____ is ______. Then use a sentence to compare to objects that you are holding The _____ is heavier / lighter than _____. If you have two objects that you think feel the same you can say The ____ and the ____ are equal. The bucket is light The banana is heavy. The banana is heavier than the bucket. A brick is much smaller in size.
