DAF Overview • What does DAF stand for? – Dissolved Air Flotation • How does it work? – Uses microscopic air bubbles dissolved into the process stream to help float suspended solids or fats, oils, and greases. • When should DAF technology be used? – Whenever the suspended solids have a specific gravity of close to or less than 1. 0 – If particles have difficulty settling or are naturally inclined to float.
