Spring Break! Your family (2 adults, 2 children) is planning a vacation to Orlando for Spring Break 2018. They know that they will need to start saving money now in order to go on vacation in 1 year. You parents have two different options for how they can save money. • They can save $300 each month • They can put $1000 down up front, then save $200 each month. Which method will allow them to save the money the quickest?
Costs • Hotel- $80 per night • Food- $150 per day • Gas- $100 • Which parks will you visit and for how many days? How much do they cost?
Create your own vacation Your family (AT LEAST 2 adults, 2 children) has decided to let you plan the next family vacation. You will have to plan for all expenses (room, food, gas, vacation activities, etc. ) They give you two options for how the money needs to be saved: • $250 each month • $750 down up front, then $200 each month You need to create a poster that includes a breakdown all of the costs for the vacation you have planned for your family and the savings plan that your family will need to use. You will present your vacation to the class.
