Phenylketonuria (PKU) • Symptoms can be avoided with a special diet • Avoid high protein foods, such as: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, milk, dried beans, and peas • Eat measured amounts of cereals, starches, fruits, and vegetables, along with a milk substitute
