CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7. 1 DG 2019 -2020 -C 1 Update Ø DG 2019 -2020 -C 1 Funding Window closed on the 11 April 2019 Ø Total of R 3 billion in applications received Ø Total funds for approval in Cycle-1 is R 294 million Ø All due diligences processes have concluded Ø 1 st level and 2 nd Level evaluation of applications have been completed Ø Final recommendations will be taken to the Grants Committee and Board by end May 2019 for approval 3

A end date 06 December 2020 All of MOAs signed by 28 June 2019 All T 1 b evidence to be submitted by 30 November 2019 latest All T 2 evidence must be submitted no later than 14 February 2020 All T 3 evidence must be submitted no later than 13 November 2020 Q 1~2019/2020 Q 2 -3~ 2019/2020 Q 4~2019/2020 Q 3 - 2020/2021 4

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7. 2 WSP 2019 -2020 Update Ø WSP Submissions closed on the 30 April 2019 Ø WSP extension requests opened on the 08 April 2019 and closed on the 18 April 2019 Ø 5 extension requests applied for on the system - 3 of 5 stakeholders have submitted before the closure Ø 2 extension requests will be taken for approval to the relevant committees Ø Regional WSP evaluations are underway and will conclude by 31 May 2019 Ø WSP approval letters to be released on the 21 June 2019 5

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7. 3 Strategic Projects Update Ø SP 2019 -2020 -C 1 Funding Window closed on the 11 April 2019 Ø Total of R 391 million in applications received Ø Total funds for approval in Cycle-1 is R 42 million Ø All due diligences processes have concluded Ø 1 st level and 2 nd Level evaluation of applications have been completed Ø Final recommendations will be taken to the Grants Committee and Board by end May 2019 for approval 6

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7. 4 Sweep Notice Ø Sweeps Ø Will result in the recovery or pro-rata recovery of Tranche 1 a payments if no implementation is recorded Ø To be submitted on the CHIETA Sweep request template in consultation with the Regional Skills Advisor Ø All expired (No Contractual Commitment) Mo. As will be automatically swept unless an extension is approved before expiry – This will result in a recovery of Tranches paid if no implementation has taken place Ø All Contracts under DG 2013 -14 to DG 2017 -2018 -C 2 and Appeals will be swept and closed unless request for extensions have been submitted (No Contractual Commitment) 7
