“Legacy” “a gift, or something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past. ” • Directions: In your “group of three” use the placard given to you and circulate throughout the room to locate the corresponding written information. • Then, summarize the information about the New Deal program and its influence on American society in the appropriate spaces on Student Handout 4. 3 B. – “Contemporary” means modern day or existing today. • When you have finished at a station, have one of the group bring all three copies of Student Handout 4. 3 B to me and I will evaluate it for accuracy and thoroughness – giving a stamp and another placard if it is correct.

The Legacy of the New Deal • Directions: Using the twelve New Deal programs we studied, create two spectrums using the labels given. For each spectrum, place the program where you best think it fits and give a one-sentence explanation for your placement. Be sure to write out the name of the program and include your reason near the placement (see the example below).
