František Václav Lobkowicz 17 regional charities in the diocese DCOO is responsible for methodological support, control and coordination of activities of all local charities in the diocese DCOO runs also own centres for people in need Main target groups – ethnic minorities (Roma people), people in crisis, families living in socially excluded areas 2

Coexistence Village • Established in 2002 as a pilot project of Ministry of Labour

Coexistence Village • Established in 2002 as a pilot project of Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs • 30 houses for 10 Roma, 10 non- Roma, 10 mixed families= cca 130 people • Coexistence Village involves houses for socially disadvantaged families accompanied by social and counseling services • The centre involves also low-threshold facility for children and youth and Community center 4

DCOO and volunteering • Hosting of volunteers through EVS and ASF • We host volunteers from 2011 through ASF and from 2013 through EVS • Why? we want to give an opportunity to travel, get to know new culture and gain more experience for future jobs to students, unemployed and Roma youth and others at the age of 18 -30. 9

Planed project of DCOO Manual for work with youth Program Erasmus+, KA 2 The aim of the project • The aim of the project is improvement and simplification of the work with children and youth at the age of 13 -19, who live in socially excluded areas, and also exchange of experience. The reason for creation • The need for creation of the manual is that there is a lack of such document in the Czech Republic and other countries. • DCOO has a lot of working lists, methodolodies which would like to share. Target group • The target group is the workers with youth who could use the created methodology during their daily work. In the country of implementer the methodology will be tested on clients at the age of 13 -19. 12
