Why is European collaboration important Improving the competitiveness of the European industry and achieving European Leadership 1. Collaboration in R&D&I to make better use of existing research; 2. Increased shared use of expertise and infrastructure, multi-partner use; 3. Efficiency and effectiveness of translating technologies into business, time to access 4. Improving industrial value chains to use existing partners networks; 5. Exchange experience on how to efficiently and effective run DIHs; 6. Why smart specialisation? “Smart Specialisation is a place-based approach characterised by the identification of strategic areas for intervention based both on the analysis of the strengths and potential of the economy and on an Entrepreneurial Discovery Process (EDP) with wide stakeholder involvement.
