Photo Essay: Each project will be a “Photo Essay”. A Photo Essay is an essay or short article consisting of text and numerous photographs. Each project will have different requirements. A Journey in Self-Portraiture: You will use the Selfie Slides you already finished for this project, but you will add 9 more photographs (total of 12). Each selfie must be a different photo (the 9 you add - not the 3 you started with). Be prepared to write about a different topic on each photo – including the 3 you already have. You will have 14 slides total: • Cover Slide (Title, Name, Date, Class Period) • 12 Slides (One self-portrait on each slide and answer the questions below – one per slide. ) • Final Slide (Write 5 sentences about this project. What did you learn about yourself? THIS PROJECT IS REQUIRED BY ALL STUDENTS. Answer the following questions in 1 -3 sentences on each slide. Organize your self-portraits in a way that best suits your questions and reflections. 1. Who are you? 2. I’m Cesar Acosta 3. What are you passionate about? food 4. What are you most grateful for in life? That im alive 5. What are your values? What do you represent? What do you want to embody? 6. Do you love yourself? Yes Why or Why not? I love my self because im my own self 7. What are your biggest goals and dreams? My biggest goal is that I become rich and my dream isthat I be on the MLB 8. What would you do if you cannot fail; if there are no limitations in money, resources, time or networks? I would get anything I want 9. What would you want to say to yourself 1 year in the future? to be on 9 th grade 3 years? To graduate from high school 5 years? To be on college 10 years? To be rich 10. What are the biggest actions you can take now to create the biggest results in your life? Pass all my classes

YOU MUST CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS BELOW: Photowalk: Take a walk in your neighborhood or go to a park, mall, or some other place. Take 10 photographs of what you see and what you do. Be prepared to write and justify how it goes with your project. Write 1 -2 sentences about each photograph. 10 New Friends: Find 10 people at our school that you have not yet met. Ask if you can take a photo – yes, ask first. Find out a little bit of information about them, and write it down. You will need to write something about each person in your presentation. You can write three interesting facts or you can ask a question from the list I sent you. Pick-A-Something: Trees, birds, shoes, purses, squares, circles, blues, greens, fruits, snacks, sports equipment, tea cups, dogs, horses, etc. . Pick “something” and take 10 photos. Be prepared to write and justify how it goes with your category. Write 1 -2 sentences about each photograph. Go Mono: Take 10 photographs. Convert them all to black and white images. Use both photos (color and black/white) in your presentation. Write 1 -2 sentences to justify whether color or black/white is best for each photo. Scavenger Hunt: I will give you a list of 10 things to find and photograph. Write 1 -2 sentences to justify how it satisfies the requirement of the scavenger list. A-Z: Take 26 photographs representing the letters of the alphabet. They can be objects that start with that letter or that represent that letter. This will require more work than the other projects, so there will be bonus points added for this one. Write 1 -2 sentences about each photograph.
