WEEK 6 DDL MATH Objectives: o Students will revise 2 D and 3 D shapes through hands on activities and project based learning. o Students will name and identify 2 D shapes. Identify if they have straight or curved sides. o Students will recognise 2 D shapes to make a shape jigsaw. o Students will name and identify 3 D shapes and their properties. o Students will identify what 3 D shapes can roll or not roll.

Day 1 Sunday 26 th – Students will Identify what 2 D Shapes have

Day 1 Sunday 26 th – Students will Identify what 2 D Shapes have 2, 3, 4 or 5 sides. Intro: • Play Interactive game to identify 2 D shapes https: //www. education. com/game/shapes-ski-race/ Activity: • • Identify how many sides each 2 D shape has. Draw lines to match each shape. Identify if the sides are straight or curved or have both. Draw each shape where it belongs or cut and paste. Conclusion: • IXL game - https: //www. ixl. com/math/level-c/count-sides-and-corners

Day 2 Monday 27 th – Students will recognise 2 D Shapes in order to make a shape jigsaw. Intro: Play the interactive game of guessing the jigsaw 2 D shape on the PPT. Activity: o o o You will need a scissors and glue stick. Cut out the puzzle pieces and glue them/ put them together to make a 2 D Shape Jigsaw. Choose Only two of the puzzles to solve. If you wish to do more than two no problem. Conclusion: o Ixl game - https: //www. ixl. com/math/level-c/compose-twodimensional-shapes
