Safety, Match & Reach By the end of Junior year, students should have 5 - 8 schools under consideration. This allows for some flexibility in choice of major, career plans, and potential for financial aid. “SAFETY” schools – academic and/or financial (1 -2) “MATCH” schools – “hard data” fits the general admissions criteria of the school. (2 -4) “REACH” schools – “hard data” falls slightly short of the school’s average acceptance admissions criteria. (1 -2)
Massachusetts Schools Admissions Requirements: Required Courses: Match our graduation requirements Required Grades: The required minimum average grade for the State Colleges and Universities is an 83 (B-).
