You have time-travelled into the year 2257. You are in the future. The world is a very different place… Write down ambitious descriptive words to describe your ideas of the future. Write your answers inside the alien’s head! Print Page 11 – Alien Print Page 12 – Lined paper

Ideas: Starting point! Read this short description and you’ll start to get some ideas about what it could be like in 2257. The fog fills the sky like a blanket of darkness. The burnt, black buildings are archaic. Charred trees lift their scorched limbs at the bright-yellow citizens passing by. Aggressively, the sun blisters skin; the wind howls. This is my normality. This is the year 2257. This is the New World…

WAGOLL Can you see some of our checklist? 29. 4. 2257 21: 30 Dear Diary, Today has been completely irrational. It started like any other morning in 2019. I got up, got dressed, my parents nagged me for being late (again), I grabbed a cereal bar and I was off to school. Slam! I couldn’t resist slamming the door on my way out- its just what I do! As I turned the corner on Tap Street, I saw a bright blue Tardis – just like the one out of Doctor Who! Me, being me (although I wish I wasn’t, well I wish I wasn’t so inquisitive) couldn’t help but go inside… Inside it was huge, massive, colossal in fact! I realised that my friends would never believe that this had happened, so I started taking pictures on my i. Phone 6. That’s when everything changed! It started to glow and bright lights flashed everywhere, it was like a firework show going off indoors! I was petrified! Bang! Then silence. Silence. I hate silence! Everything stopped flashing, everything stopped banging. Just silence. I walked to the door and it creaked open, as it eerily opened by its self I realised I was no longer on Tap Street. As my eyes adjusted the to new surrounding and the blistering light, I could see through the ajarred door, fog filling the sky like a blanket of darkness. I blinked once, twice, I don’t know how many times I blinked just checking I wasn’t having another day dream. I took a deep breath and nudged the door open wider, wider so I could see the new planet. Was I on a different planet? I looked right and left, left and right and I could make out the archaic building of Tap Street – I was still on Earth – that’s a blessing (I think). Tentatively I took a step closer to the door (I was nearly outside the Tardis) and it was then when I saw bright yellow creatures walking on the other side of the street. Who were they? What year was I in? So many question but no answers.
