Importance of diagrams. . • The role of diagrams is to illustrate, support, justify or enhance an argument • Insist on diagrams wherever possible • Students to start with simple diagrams to understand the workings of a diagram • Encourage students to add/make their diagrams more sophisticated in nature

Internal Assessment… • Portfolios must contain a variety of diagrams • Innovative with diagrams

Internal Assessment… • Portfolios must contain a variety of diagrams • Innovative with diagrams rather than repeating • • the same diagrams Try and vary diagrams even if references to the same concepts made in two different commentaries However, one sophisticated diagram –better than several D/S or AD/AS diagrams

Paper 1… • The 10 mark question will generally require a diagram • Encourage

Paper 2… • Paper 2 questions for HL would require diagrams for every question
