Final exams and early release will take place on Wednesday, December 18 th and Thursday, December 19 th. If you plan on participating in the early release process, you must have a permission form completed and signed by your parent/guardian and that form must be verified by a Dutchtown High School staff member. Deadline to return forms was yesterday. Your parent/guardian may also email permission for early release to Dr. Patterson.
For students who will be parking on campus 2 nd semester, parking decals are now on sale. Parking applications are located in the front office and the cost is $25 for 2 nd semester.

The Student Government Association presents the Warm Clothes Drive! Please bring in new or gently used coats, blankets, scarves, hates, and other warm items. Boxes are located at the beginning of the 100 hallway. Please donate and help keep a family warm this winter! The items you bring in will be given to a local Henry County shelter. The Warm Clothes Drive will end on December 19 th. Thank you!

Gymnastics conditioning will begin the week of December 16 th on Mondays and Wednesdays immediately after school. Please see Coach White and Coach Usher in room 706 to turn in your physical.
Want to play lacrosse? There will be a parent meeting in the media center on Monday, December 16, at 6: 00 pm for all that are interested. If you are a senior that is interested in playing lacrosse, please see Coach Usher in room 114 by Friday, December 13.
The JV and varsity girls and boys teams will host Union Grove tomorrow night (12/17). The first game will tip-off at 4: 30 pm. The wrestling team will travel to Mt. Zion High for a match at 5: 00 pm on tomorrow night (12/17).

The Dutchtown High Girls Flag Football team will participate in the Flag Football Championship on Wednesday, December 18 th at the Georgia Dome. Games begin at 3: 00 pm. Gate opens at 2: 30 pm. Come out and support your Lady Bulldogs Flag Football Team!
ATTENTION STUDENTS: There will be a field trip to see the movie Harriet on Thursday, December 19 th from 1 pm-4 pm. Please see Ms. Daniels in the media center for a field trip permission form. Hurry, spaces are on a first come, first served basis.
Poetry Out Loud is a competition for students to showcase their oral skills by reciting poetry. You could earn an opportunity to win a cash prize of $20, 000 and the title of state or national champion by memorizing and performing some of the world’s greatest poems. There will be a school level competition in January. The winner of that competition will go on to compete in the state completion. In order to compete, you must attend the interest meeting in room 112 at 3: 30 pm on January 13, 2020.
Seniors, do you and your parents need assistance completing the FAFSA? If so, please sign up for our FAFSA completion night on January 16, 2020 at 6 pm. The sign up is located on our school webpage. A Georgia Student Finance representative will be here to provide one-on-one assistance with the FAFSA. There are only 20 slots available. See Mrs. Johnson in the counseling office for details.
The junior and senior prom will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Four Seasons Atlanta. Prom tickets are on sale for the December price of $140 each. Tickets can be bought online at myschoolbucks. com. They may also be purchased from Ms. Johnson in room 224 or Ms. Erica in the front office using cash, check or money order.
