Agenda 1. Update on DFX assembly/integration in LTC tunnel 2. Instrumentation feedthrough options 3. Mechanical design updates 5
Instrumentations 1. LHC magnet instrumentations feedthrough from the coldmass can be an option for the DFX if avoiding feedthrough using flexible interface hoses is desire. 2. It becomes a CERN item either for wires insertion during installation or premanufactured for soldering to instrumentation wires in the DFX 3. JF/AB and VP/YL to discuss and decide 6
Mechanical Design 1. 2. 3. 4. Vacuum barrier: The current Cryoworld design has a built-in barrier Should it be abandoned and replaced by the DFX barrier (as in the current design) Proven to work well in the Demo 1 test (? ) Simplifies DFX design 7
