Poison Gas-Who used it during WWI � The first recorded gas attack was by the French. In August 1914, the French used tear gas grenades containing xylyl bromide on the Germans. This was more an irritant rather than a gas that would kill. � The Germans also used Poison Gas but they were not the inventors

Poison Gas- What did it do? � Poison gas or “Mustard gas” was a deadly gas that was released into air and cut off the oxygen intake of its enemies that did not have a gas mask on.

Poison Gas- How was it used? � It was used to kill enemies, silently. � They normally used it while their enemies were asleep or while there weren’t any fighting going on.

Poison Gas-How deadly was it? � It was the second most feared weapon used during WWI � All of the enemies that were killed by it died in a very painful way, they were suffocated to death from the gas cutting of their oxygen intake.

Poison Gas- What were its limitations � Poison gas had many limitations, if a person had a gas mask the poison gas was rendered useless. � Poison gas can be accidentally be released and kill its own men.

Poison Gas- How did it change war � It changed warfare by making people wear gas masks and fear for their lives more often while they are asleep.
