Methods Workplace adaptation study in employment and rehabilitation for Pw. D, in 2012 Exploratory factor analysis – principal axis factoring method Based on original American study Dong et al. (2011) Pilot questionnaire, with added questions and 2 new parts for further development on contents and barriers Population surveyed: 140 professional (expert) workers in Slovenia, working with adaptations of workplace in VR
Research questions (RQ) and hypotheses 1. RQ to the original research Which factors are essential within work place adjustments Are factors identical to those discovered in original USA research Is it possible to minimize 8 factors to smaller number Are these factors in/non-dependent or interdependent 2. RQ covering the contents Which areas are recognized Are areas in/non-dependent or interdependent 3. RQ covering barriers Which are the main barriers Are these barriers in/non-dependent or interdependent
Hypothesis Two main hypothesis: 1. Three main interdependent factors: employers support, state support and characteristics of disabled person and its workplace influence employment and training reasonable accommodations 2. Systemic and individual factors influence on barriers regarding reasonable accommodations Within this framework, eight working hypotheses were defined
