Designing a Parcourse 5 th Grade Collaborative Project
Design a Parcourse 5 th grade students learn about the major muscle groups and anaerobic vs. aerobic exercise. They design an outdoor fitness trail that incorporates varied activities that use all major muscle groups.
Teacher Guide This lesson is designed as a culminating project to a 5 th grade fitness unit. Students have already learned & researched about the major muscle groups, importance of warm up & cool down, and the importance of mixing up routines with aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Students will accomplish the following in this culmination project: § Design a course using their choice of software § Course stations must include all major muscle groups, warm-up & cool down stations § Course stations must have explanation signs for how to do exercise § Students may consider embedding video of exercise via QR codes on station signs § Present course using their choice of software and delivery style Suggested software: -Minecraft -Power. Point -Pixie 3 -Drawing -Prezi
