Male character armour/clothes Most characters will feature a top hat because it is a staple of steam punk fashion as steam punk is a neo-Victorian style and the top hat was in fashion in the Victorian era. Some characters will have leather clothes as they are resilient and tough and can survive the wasteland. They can also act as light armour. The gas mask can be used in my game to get through harsh parts of the environment that isn't safe to go through unprotected. Goggles will be used in the wasteland for protection from the dust and smog. Some characters in Super Critical will dress fashionable rather than functional, this depends on where they live, what they do and the type of person they are.

The leaders of some factions/settlements will dress in more high class clothes to represent their power. Some factions in the game will have masks and full armour that will protect them as well as showing their power. Some characters (including an option for the player character) will have either an assisted steam arm or a prosthetic steam arm.

Female Characters

The style of the robotic arms with the, the exposed cogs, pistons and pipes make the arms look like they have power and that they are assisting the movement of the arm. Some female characters will have a corset because it fits with the neo-Victorian era fashion. Flowy and frilly dresses are a common steampunk style of clothing. Even though these look good, they would be impractical in a post-apocalyptic environment. Something like this would be more practical for combat and working on vehicles.

Equippable accessories

Even though most steampunk weapons look cool, the designs make no practical sense. Weapons These pipes don’t do anything. Rectangular handles are not comfortable This sword would be useless at thrusting. The sword blade is too big and would be too heavy to be effective. The pressure gauge is useless. This sword gun would be too heavy to aim because it is as long as a rifle but doesn’t have a grip for the left hand. When using it as a sword you would have to hold the gun handle which would mean you would have a very unstable grip on the sword.

This steam gun from the anime from Kabineri of the Iron Fortress makes more sense as it has a pressure valve and a pipe that carries steam from the tanks worn on the back of the weapon handler.
