The Centre of Excellence (Co. E) on “Applied Research, CENTRE OF Training & Education in Lipid Science” has been established in EXCELLENCE the Department of Oil Technology at H. B. T. U. Kanpur under TEQIP – II sponsored by World Bank Under Center of Excellence lectures , workshops , seminars from industry people are organized frequently. The thematic areas of the centre are : Oleo Chemicals and Novel Surfactants Biofuels and Biolubricants Bioactive compounds and Nutracueticals Eco- Efficient Polymers and Coatings The department have been benefitted from the TEQIP Phase II and helped the students to upgrade their knowledge and technical skills by facilitating: Industry oriented research and technological development Financial assistantship and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities UG and PG research projects will be on industrial problems TEQIP PHASE - II
