Demonstrations Track • First time that SSTD holds a dedicated Demo Track, with its own PC and chairs • The purpose of this track is to illustrate engaging systems that showcase underlying solid research and its applicability • Topics being addressed include: trajectory data, time series, open data, sensor data and industrial tools

Demonstrations Track • 16 submissions, 51 authors or co-authors coming from Germany (21), U.

Demonstrations Track • 16 submissions, 51 authors or co-authors coming from Germany (21), U. S. A. (21), Canada (5), Italy (2), Switzerland (1), and France (1). • 8 of the 16 submissions were accepted • Every demonstration will have the chance to give a 2 -3 minute plenary preview just before the actual demo session • A Best Demonstration Award will be given out

Vision/Challenges Track • Another novelty in SSTD series • The aim is to describe revolutionary ideas that are likely to guide research in the near future, challenge prevalent assumptions in the research community, or identify novel applications and technology trends that create new research directions in the area of spatial and spatiotemporal databases.

Vision/Challenges Track • Topics being discussed include: – Online games, flash memory, data mining over spatiotemporal data, localization, user-generated data and water management. • 21 submissions were received from a total of 58 authors and co-authors from U. S. A. (19), Germany (7), Italy (2), Greece (2), Brazil (1), U. K. (1), Switzerland (1)

Vision/Challenges Track • 8 submissions accepted for presentation • Each presentation will be 12

Vision/Challenges Track • 8 submissions accepted for presentation • Each presentation will be 12 minutes long with 8 minutes for Q&A • The top 3 contributions will receive the Headwater Awards –kindly sponsored by the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) of the Computing Research Association (CRA).
