Goddess of the harvest �Demeter is the goddess of the harvest, grain, bread and agriculture. �Also known for being the goddess of the earth.
Special powers/strengths �She made the crops grow in the spring and summer months and the crops die in the fall and winter.
Family �Parents: rhea and cronus �Siblings: Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, and Heista �Children: Persephone �Spouse: Zeus
Major accomplishments �Demeter's major accomplishments is making the seasons winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Demeter's short story � Hades god of the underworld abducted Demeter's daughter Persephone. Demeter asked Zeus brother of Hades to return Persephone to her. Zeus agreed but only if she didn’t eat anything while she was down there, but she did. She at 6 pomegranate seeds while in the underworld. Zeus decided that Persephone would spend 6 months with her mother and 6 months with Hades. When she would spend the time with her mother, Demeter would make the crops grow and when she went back to Hades, Demeter would make the crops die this is the mythical origins of the seasons. Fall and winter is when Persephone would go back to the underworld and summer and spring would be when she returns to her mother.
