The FOB charges are estimated to total $1000. 00 per shipment. We would deduct the $1000. 00 from the cost of the goods and declare $49000. 00 as the value for duty. We would then pay 17. 0% duty on the reduced value of $49000. For this shipment the savings in Canada would result in: $1000. 00 X 17% = $ 170. 00.
