7 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Target Audience ▪ ▪ Comprises various local engineers who are Afghan nationals, currently working for public and private sector institutions in Kabul. They may be Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Geodetics, or Environmental Engineers with Bachelor and/or Master’s Degrees in engineering or related disciplines. The experience level may vary from fresh graduates up to 20 years field experience. The typical class size would be up to a maximum of 25 participants Kabul Security Infrastructure Project (KSIP)
8 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Services Required ▪ ▪ ▪ Develop detailed course materials including course presentations, manuals, group exercises and other training aid. Deliver training programs at suitable venues. All necessary training equipment, printing manuals/training aids and catering for participants will be the responsibility of the Training Consultant. Develop and implement a comprehensive course evaluation system to receive feedback from course participants.
9 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Services Required ▪ ▪ Provide additional training necessary to prepare candidates for the PMP exam. Arrange examinations for trainees with PMI, pay their exam fees and make other necessary arrangements to facilitate their participation in the examination. There is no need to pay a PMI membership fee. It is expected that the Training Consultant will allow for each participant to take the PMP exam once. In case if a participant fails and requires further training and retaking the examination, other arrangements will be made to pay the examination fee, if required.
10 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Services Required ▪ ▪ ▪ Accreditation: At the end of the training, the participants should be able to achieve Project Management Practitioner (PMP) certification. No. of days of training: The training program shall include the minimum number of hours required by PMI and an additional 10 days (70 hours) of training. Duration: The Training Consultant is expected to complete all training programs between November 2020 and June 2021. The participants should sit for the PMP examination twice before June 2021. Language: The language of instruction shall be English with explanations provided in Dari and Pashto where required. Trainer: Trainer shall be PMP certified. Copies of certificates must be provided along with the bid submission.
11 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Logistical Arrangements ▪ ▪ Venue: Training Consultant shall propose the venues for the training programs. The venues must be in Kabul and they must be modern venues with advanced training facilities. Training Consultant must include details of proposed training venue in their bid submission. The venues to be selected are subject to the approval of UNOPS.
12 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Logistical Arrangements ▪ ▪ Training Aids Training Consultant’s proposal shall include the cost of providing all training aids that are required to conduct the training e. g. data projectors, white boards, etc. Lunch and Refreshments Training Consultant’s proposal shall include the cost of providing lunch, morning and afternoon tea for each day of training. The lunch and refreshments shall be of acceptable quality and subject to UNOPS approval.

14 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Gender Mainstreaming and Technical Sustainability ▪ UNOPS promotes gender mainstreaming and technical sustainability as core requirements in project implementation. The training consultant must ensure these aspects are integrated in the delivery of Services. UNOPS encourages female participation in the delivery of Services. Training programs to be developed under this assignment should address gender mainstreaming and technical sustainability.
15 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Key Performance Indicators The Training Consultant's performance under this assignment will be measured using the following Key Performance Indicators (KPI): 1. 80% positive feedback from participants on course contents, training materials, training delivery, additional support to participants, venue and other facilities. 2. 60% of participants passing the PMP exam at the first attempt.
16 Pre-bid Meeting for delivery of Project Management Training Leading to PMP Qualification for Engineers Important points to be noted by the bidders ▪ The training programs are to be in-person, group class programs to be held in Kabul, Afghanistan. ▪ Proposals for online training courses shall not be accepted. ▪ Only bidders possessing valid Business License from the relevant authority of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and having physical presence in Kabul, Afghanistan can participate in this tender. ▪ The Bidders must be accredited by PMI to conduct such training. ▪ Proposals from individuals, overseas based companies, online training providers or companies without training accreditation from PMI will not be accepted. ▪ Incomplete submissions will be rejected without consideration.
