Summary of the Delaware School Survey (DSS) • The DSS is an annual survey of 5 th, 8 th, and 11 th grade public school students in Delaware. The survey is used to estimate students attitudes and experiences with tobacco, drugs, alcohol, bullying, depression, and a variety of issues facing Delaware's youth. • 2017 Sussex County sample size was: – 5 th Grade - 1, 132 students – 8 th Grade - 770 students – 11 th Grade - 594 students Sussex County Center for Drug & Health Studies, 2018 2
