MENTAL HEALTH COVID-19 • During this COVID-19 pandemic all of our MH providers have

MENTAL HEALTH COVID-19 • During this COVID-19 pandemic all of our MH providers have developed plans which have allowed them to continue MH services in the County. Plans have varied according to the type of service. o Therapeutic sessions are being offered via telehealth and staff have been equipped with tools to teach individuals how to use ZOOM. o Site-based crisis and mobile crisis services have continued 24 hours a day/7 days a week. o The Warm Line is also still operating for those who would just like to talk. o Implementation of a COVID-19 Telehealth Helpline is also available to provide Emotional Support to the Delaware County community. This Helpline operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Individuals working or living in Delaware County may use this resource to speak to a Certified Peer Specialist or to a MH Professional. o The Commonwealth has also implemented a COVID-19 support and referral line. it is manned by trained listeners.

MENTAL HEALTH Increase Community Awareness & Support : Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid • Youth: 191 Community Members Certified & 27 Instructors Certified • Youth Suicide Prevention: Question Persuade Refer (QPR), 32 Certified & 1 Instructor Certified • QPR - is a suicide prevention gatekeeper training that is available to Human Services Staff, Providers, Stakeholders and other County Systems to increase their capacity for identifying those at risk and linking them to the proper supports • Adult: 133 Community Members Trained (includes County Jail Staff)

MENTAL HEALTH Supported Employment: providing vocational education and support services for people wanting to work at competitive jobs of their choosing • • Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Principles are implemented IPS is an Evidence-Based Practice utilized in the community 2 Stand alone providers: Care. Link & Merakey Each provider works with around 35 participants regarding their benefits, choosing a career, and seeking either volunteer, parttime, or full-time work

DRUG & ALCOHOL OUTCOMES & ADDITIONAL INITIATIVES TREATMENT • As of July 1, 2020 all in-county contracted providers will be mandated to provide ongoing quality metrics regarding services for each LOC • As of July 1, 2020 funding will be available for all 3 forms of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) • MAT is no longer an exclusionary criteria for any individual entering County funded treatment • Added 66 additional recovery house beds • Crozer Keystone Health Systems is currently pursuing opening a second residential withdrawal management and rehab facility in the western part of the county at Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) • SCA hosted recovery event supporting MAT at Rose Tree Park • Conducted stigma surveys for community and persons in recovery feedback • Added “Finally Home” to D&A continuum which houses individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)

DRUG & ALCOHOL CERTIFIED RECOVERY SPECIALIST (CRS) MODEL: PROVIDES WARM HANDOFF TO OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS Contact number: 610 -619 -8616 • Crozer Chester Medical Center (CCMC) administers the Warm Hand-Off program, utilizing a 24/7 hotline and a team of CRS's under clinical supervision. Program started 10/1/2016. • There are 3 hospital systems with a total of 7 emergency departments serving our county. (Taylor, DCMH, CCMC, Springfield, Mercy Fitz, Riddle, and Bryn Mawr) Outcome of Engagements Since Inception Individual Engagements Entered Treatment Refused Treatment 4, 119 1, 438 2, 681
