Defining Putaway Options Step 1 Begin by navigating to the Setup Putaway page. Click the Inventory menu.

For cross docking purposes, you can split the quantity between locations even if the putaway rule does not specify this option. Click the Split Quantity option.

Defining Putaway Options Step 43 Select the Mix Stage Dates and Lots option to specify whether you can store the transaction quantity in locations that contain items with different lots or staged dates than the transaction quantity. Select this option only if the business rules permit storage of different stage dates and lots of an item in one location. Click the Mix Stage Dates and Lots option.

Defining Putaway Options Step 44 The Maximum Capacity Available option is used to specify that material storage locations with the most available capacity should be evaluated as potential putaway locations first. Selecting this option results in the smallest number of suggested putaway locations, even if you permit splitting of transaction quantities.

Defining Putaway Options Step 45 The Minimum Capacity Available option is used to specify that the system should evaluate the storage locations that have the least available capacity first. If you permit splitting of putaway transaction quantities, the system suggests multiple material storage locations.
