Defence Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority Defence Standardization Department TRANSLATIONS + ANALYSES / EXPERT OPINIONS Basic situation – ratification of NATO SD • These activities are very important for ratification (implementation) of NATO SD – way ahead • SGC Attitude = CZE attitude, must be objective, real, efficient and effective • Clear or definite language interpretation of NATO SD content • Clear and definite expert interpretation of NATO SD content • DSD can manage both form for DS support for SGC’s decision 8

D translators are especially in the operational and the administrative area DSD works with a set of translators with necessary level of language skills DSD manages both possibilities – different business relationship DSD prefers a translator from armed forces, or parts of Mo. D or MTIs over civilian translator agency 9

Defence Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority Defence Standardization Department NATO SD TRANSLATIONS Basic rules • SGC sends a request for a translation of NATO SD to DSD, • DSD chooses a translator of NATO SD • Translator caries out a translation with respect to proper terminology and relationships in CZE armed forces • DSD sends the NATO SD Translation to requesting SGC • NATO SD Translations are saved in DB IS STAN • SGC decides about form of the ratification (and implementation) of NATO SD in CZE 10

Defence Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority Defence Standardization Department ANALYSES + EXPERT OPINIONS NATO SD Current situation + solution • Previous army system was substituted • We apply the logistic structure in the CZE armed forces since 1993 • Supply and repair troops of lower level are subordinated to an army logistic • Repair troops of higher level are either a governmental enterprises or private companies • Technical expert – especially in materiel area – a personnel of MTIs • Proposal of the CZE attitude to NATO SD in the materiel standardization – Analysis and expert opinion mainly from MTIs 12

D, financial resources requested for ratification or implementation NATO SD, describes the relation to a similar civilian environment and relation to civilian technical standardization, etc… • EO is thematically narrower – describes a particular situation without broader relations, EO is focused on one problem • Support process for analysis and EO is the same 13
