Deductive Reasoning
Inductive reasoning - a type of reasoning that allows you to reach conclusions based on a pattern of specific examples or past events.

Deductive reasoning (or logical reasoning) is the process of reasoning logically from given statements to a conclusion. If the given statements are true, deductive reasoning produces a true conclusion.
If it is a witch, then it is made of wood. If it is made of wood, then it floats. Conclusion: If it is a witch, then it floats.
If it is made of wood, then it floats. What we know: A witch is made of wood. Therefore, it floats.
