Deception Defined: • Someone who is deceived has accepted • "as true or valid what is false or invalid" (Webster). • Likewise, one who deceives others convinces • them to accept, as truth, something false.
• Revelation 12: 9 speaks of, • “… that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. ” • The Lord put that and similar verses in his Word to warn us of a reality of world history: • The Whole World. Global deception. • “In the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. ” • 1 Timothy 4: 1.

Jesus Christ
Romans 7: 23 -24 Paul • 23 But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. …
When we realize we have been deceived! • Will we, like the Prodigal Son, admit it. I have sinned. Lk. 15: 18 • Will we , like the Publican, say, God, be merciful • to me, the sinner!
